WHAT IS RIKUO MOTORCyCLE ?

RIKUO was made as Harlay davidson of Japan in 1935.
For the first time , their parts were imported from USA.
Later,Sankyo co.ltd only made them in Japan.

Harley Davidson 1200cc model was named VFE.

That ment V of Far East model .

We called it RIKUO in Japan .The meaning was the King of Road. RIKUO had two types of 750cc and1200cc.
750cc type was called R.

But RIKUO MOTORCICLE co,ltd was bankrupt in 1960.
It was too old and too expensive for Japanese after the War.

The company that made RIKUO was SANKYO co,ltd .
They got the license and haw to make them.

TheＷＷ2 began,Ameican Capital and engineers went backto their country.

American soldiers wondered how H-D was in the island where theｙ occupied right now.

RIKUO is still loved by Japanese.
